2007
proRheo takes over the production of the process viscometer “Covimat”. These viscometers are distributed through the established retailer’s channel. The successor of the Rheomat R 180 is developed.
2005
proRheo can look on several years with double-digit growth. This requires personal and spatial growth as well. The Rheomat R140 replaces the instruments BG Handy and Epprecht STV.
2003
From TA Instruments proRheo takes over all rights and duties on the viscometers “Rheomat”, former produced by Rheometric Scientific, Mettler Toledo and Contraves. The successor “Rheomat R 180” is developed. The net of retailers grows.
2001
Contract with Solartron Mobrey. Mobrey includes into their product range the measuring cells for Covimat developed by proRheo. proRheo is distributor for Covimat process viscometer in Germany and neighbouring countries. This cooperation allows proRheo to extend consulting activities for process viscometer.
1999
The company keeps growing and moves into new building. Stock and production need more space. The internet extends presence in the market. International contacts with retailers worldwide increases sales. The company name is changed from “Brandt & Gehm” to “proRheo GmbH”.
1996
proRheo takes over the rheometer line from Mettler Toledo. Worldwide service for Rheomat and Low Shear Viscometer require enormous engagement. In addition new instruments are developed: BG Handy, Robots for automatically viscosity measurement and a measuring cell for water based coatings.
1994
Foundation of Brandt & Gehm GmbH for production of viscometers by Lothar Brandt and Lothar Gehm. The company can build on knowledge of Lothar Gehm who then has been working as Manager of the Rheology line at Contraves’. During the first years mostly instruments for special applications are produced, such as viscometers for molten glass or for production of chipboards.
